The Delivery Lead in the Optus Data Office is responsible for managing and successfully delivering data transformation and modernisation programs within the Optus IT Division.
Reporting to the Director of Portfolio Delivery, the role focuses on delivering modern data platform capabilities, products, and services to meet customer experience outcomes by driving programs on time and on budget, even in sophisticated and evolving environments.
Success in this role requires extensive experience in end-to-end program delivery, including technical, commercial, business change implementation, and operational handovers, along with strong business partner management and a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and define program requirements through accurately establishing customer expectations and analysing business interests.
Define, detail, and document the scope and specifics of the program.
Analyze tasks and develop an accurate schedule to fulfil program results.
Identify, analyze, and refine program costs to produce a budget.
Monitor, review, and report program quality and results.
Identify and formulate a risk management plan for a program and assure program continuity.
Successfully manage business initiatives and senior business partner relationships.
Ensure customer experience parameters are driven to conclusion within programs.
Contribute to and work effectively within a sophisticated and matrix team environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Professional qualification or equivalent in business, IT, engineering, or other aligned fields, complemented by professional certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, etc.).
Hands-on experience managing capital programs within the IT/Telecommunications or Financial Services sectors, with formal training in project management.
Delivery using Agile/Iterative methodologies, with strong financial and business proficiencies.
Demonstrated success in directly leading large, sophisticated data programs.
Consistent experience in successfully supporting a delivery team in matrix reporting environments.
Proven track record in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members; successfully supporting performance to achieve continuous improvement of team capabilities.
