We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Strategy Future Network Management Team.
The Data Scientist is responsible for championing the discipline of data science through delivery of complex statistical analysis, which enables advanced business insights for better decision making.
The role will involve the application of various tools, data mining, statistical techniques, algorithms, and machine learning principles to identify trends, patterns, and insights from raw data.
The Data Scientist will extract meaning from data, uncover insights and identify opportunities to inform business decision making.
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
About YouYou will have extensive experience in a data science field applying data science and machine learning approaches in industry.
In addition you will have the following:
Demonstrated ability to identify commercial relevance of analysis and manage and be responsible for the delivery of these outcomes.Proven record of accomplishment in being able to understand the key business problems being explained, source smart data and develop data models needed to add value.Proven track record of analysing large datasets to optimize and improve product development.Research thesis in a relevant field, demonstrating in-depth analysis capabilities and communication.Extensive experience in troubleshooting and solving complex technical problems on large datasets.Required QualificationsBachelor in Data Science, Computer Science, Science or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.Qualifications in a relevant field such as statistics, analytics or mathematics.Why Essential EnergyWe offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience and 16% Superannuation.
