Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSEQ Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards across all operations. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies to foster a safe and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the organization. Deliver HSEQ training and inductions to employees and contractors. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions. Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during external audits. Keep up to date with changes in HSEQ legislation and standards. Maintain accurate HSEQ records and generate regular reports for management. Requirements: Minimum Cert IV in WHS. Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or marine. Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations, standards, and best practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSEQ management systems. Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, particularly in the marine industry. Familiarity with marine-specific safety and environmental regulations. Knowledge of environmental management, sustainability practices, and marine pollution prevention. Previous experience conducting HSEQ audits and inspections in maritime operations.
