We are looking for a Cost Controllerto join the Major Operations team on an initial 12-month assignment.with our client that specializes in Mining Industry.Job Responsibilities: Facilitate EV measurement and updates.Facilitate the monthly Progress Claims process.Ensure comprehensive reporting on Cost Control information.Monitor progress and identify potential problems in respect of budgets, schedules, and engineering standards.Support the Planner with incomplete Project Schedule updates.Be responsible to supporting the PM in Project Controls and Reporting across your projects.Candidate: We need someone with an exceptional level of detail and analytical thinking, paired with a solution-focused attitude. We hope you'll come with the following experience:
5+ years' experience in project engineering, management and project control roles, with experience successfully leading a team.High level of computer skill with advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Office package abilities.Understanding of Budget allocation, WBS, SOW, Cost terminology.Comprehensive understanding of the budget allocation process.Ability to summarise and communicate complex data quickly and in a simple format.Bonus - Bachelor of Engineering degree (4-year duration) accredited by Engineers Australia at level of Professional Engineer; or Bachelor of Project Management degree.Only candidates located within Australia, with full Australian working rights will be considered.
