Cook Full time, Annual Salary $73,500 + Superannuation CHATKAZZ ACT) PTY LTD Chatkazz is an Australian based Indian restaurant renowned for delivering only the highest quality Indian cuisine.
With over 200 dishes on the menu taking inspiration from the North and South of India, each visit to CHATKAZZ (ACT) PTY LTD will bring back memories of home.
Expect fragrant dishes packed with flavour, many which can rarely be found outside of India.
Due to business expansion, we are seeking experienced cook to join our friendly team This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have: • The right to work in Australia • Certificate III in commercial cookery in relevant field or have extensive work experience as a cook focused in Indian culinary/cuisine • Minimum of 2 or 3 years of work experience • Have the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment • A passion for excellent quality food, produce and service • Be reliable, punctual, and hard workings • Have strong communication skills • Be able to maintain kitchen procedures and WHS standards Responsibilities include: • Assist in running the day-to-day kitchen duties • Prepare, season, and cook different foods as per the menu and customer orders, • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc) • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, • Communicate orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages • Receiving, storing, stock segregation, and keep records of foodstuffs used • Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, • Use methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing cooked food with utensil, • Portion, arrange and garnish food, and place in different platters • Supervise and manage junior cooks and kitchen staff Benefits: • Professional growth • A friendly team environment with a great community care spirit • Ability to visibly see your impact on the business and its service • Employee discount If you enjoy cooking and have a strong work ethic combined with a sense of adventure, this is your chance to embark on a really worthwhile career.
