About the Role Broadmeadow is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people, 34 kilometres north of Moranbah. It is a longwall underground coal operation.
We are currently seeking the expertise of a Contracts Coordinator on a 12-month fixed term basis. You will be responsible for supporting the Contracts Advisors and Contract/Vendor Owners in the practical implementation of the Contractor Management Framework (CMF) for contractors engaged to perform work on site. This role is working on site Monday to Friday with flexible working options available.
Key responsibilities include: Support obligation holders in the execution of their duties as outlined in the Contractor Management FrameworkActively review and provide governance over scope of works, risk assessments and SHMP documentation in conjunction with stakeholdersProvide coaching and support to Contract Owners, Supervisors, Contracts Advisors and senior leadership teamCoordinate issues, non-conformance, settlement & disputes with Supply & Contract OwnersParticipate in field verification of contract partner activitiesProactively review and maintain commercial engagements and apply a continuous improvement lens to minimising off-contract spendParticipate in contract renewal and variation processes where requiredMonitor and provide weekly reporting on Broadmeadow CMF compliance to relevant stakeholdersSupport in maintaining health of Contractor Management documents in the Broadmeadow SHMSIdentify continuous improvement initiatives to drive process, cost and productivity improvements for Broadmeadow MineProvide strategic advice on vendor rationalisation, sourcing, engagement and performance management of contract partnersAbout You Formal qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Contract Management, Human Resources or Organisational Development is advantageousExcellent communication skills and an ability to influence various stakeholdersWorking knowledge and skills in Microsoft Suite and SAP while experience with SuccessFactors would be highly regardedExperience with value-chain optimisationAbility to identify and project manage improvement opportunities and to build, promote and encourage a "step-up" culture within the departmentA strong desire to mentor and lead a teamThe ability to actively engage relevant stakeholders and enjoy collaboration and networkingProactive working style, great use of initiative and exceptional level of attention to detailAbout our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
