We currently have a number of Consultant Psychiatrist positions across General Adult and Inpatient services, Community Mental Health, Emergency Department and Mental Health Emergency Centre. This is a Recruitment Pool for permanent and fixed-term appointments. Full-time, part-time and sessional opportunities exist. The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.Appointments may be made from this pool until 05/10/2026.Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint suitably qualified Consultant Psychiatrists to the Mental Health Division across Royal Perth Hospital, Armadale Mental Health Service, City East Community Mental Health Service and Bentley Mental Health Service. The Consultant Psychiatrist will promote patient safety and quality of care whilst providing leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers. This position, in collaboration with the Medical Co-Director, Service Director, Head of Department, Clinical Leads and other Consultants, works to achieve national, state and EMHS performance standards and targets.
