Your day to day As the Conference & Events Operations Manager, you will manage all conference events and ensure quality service and standards are maintained to deliver a memorable guest experience.
You will maintain a high standard of health and safety for guests and colleagues.
You will be responsible for managing the daily activity plan, assigning work and ensuring events have the adequate resources to ensure a smooth guest experience.
You will continuously develop your team and their performance through coaching and constructive feedback, creating performance and development goals for colleagues.
You will ensure that all guests are satisfied with their experience, assisting with their requests, complaints and listening to feedback.
You will ensure all banquet and event spaces are kept tidy and properly stocked to anticipated business volume, notifying of any repairs or maintenance required in a timely manner.
Under your supervision, the Conference & Events beverage stock is monitored and controlled to ensure the correct levels are maintained.
Handle food and beverage inventory procedures and ordering.
Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment.
You will also be required to have a thorough understanding of new systems including HUB, foodbuy, Infrasys and Kronos upon implementation.
Conduct training for other colleagues where needed.
What we need from you We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who know how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations.
You must have the ability to relocate and live on Hayman Island, Queensland.
At least 3 years' prior experience in a Food & Beverage leadership role, prior exposure to and understanding of complex conference, events and bespoke dining, flexibility and adaptability to various situations and excellent time management are required.
