They are now at the stage where they need a trusted pair of finance hands, to take the accounts in-house from their bookkeeping firm.
You would work to directly support the owners, providing accurate and meaningful reports & financials to help them as they expand.

The Role This Company Accountant will be responsible for, well basically everything finance for the business!
You would have the support of the external Accountant.
Responsibilities will include: Weekly payroll for permanent and casual employees (60), including superannuation and any related payments Accounts receivable – working with business managers on overdue accounts Bank reconciliations BAS lodgment Accounts payable – paying suppliers, overheads, mortgage payments, rents etc.
Ensuring timely direct debit runs Franchise payments to corporate head office & setting up new business entities Credit card reconciliations & expense payments Cash-flow forecasting P&L reporting monthly by location through Xero.
Relevant commentary for Directors.
Preparation of year-end accounts for review by an external accountant Once these processes are established and working smoothly, they would love someone to do KPI/Performance reporting on membership, sales, products etc.
They would also love to set up some solid budgeting & forecasting to track performance over the month.
Your Background You are either a Senior Bookkeeper or an SME Accountant with a broad range of skills.
Key requirements are: A hands-on Accountant who can work independently either from a commercial organisation or an accounting practice You are able to lodge BAS – so a registered tax or BAS Agent You are degree qualified as a minimum You have experience with Payroll, P&L reports and strong Excel skills Ideally you will be able to set up workflow, processes and review the existing systems to make improvements You have excellent English communication skills and are able to work with non-finance to explain what is happening in the business.
You can deal with the venue managers and operational staff with confidence.
We are open to Accountants coming from a Bookkeeping or Business services firm who want their first start in commercial accounting.
