Our mission is to improve the mental and social wellbeing of young people by providing services that are welcoming, friendly, supportive and culturally safe.As the Clinical Lead, alongside the Service Manager, you will provide a centre-based and outreach service to young people and communities via an asset-based community development approach and through the collaborative work with local consortium members, young people, communities and stakeholders via Community Awareness and Engagement and the Youth Advisory Group.This is a permanent, full-time role opportunity based in South Hedland.What You Will BringTo succeed in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in community development, awareness and/or engagement, youth work, social work, social science or equivalent. Applicants who have equivalent experience and knowledge working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people may be exempt.Demonstrated experience working and engaging with young people with mental health, alcohol and other drug and other social issues.Experience coordinating and facilitating youth programs, events and activities in a community setting.Strong cultural competency to easily engage and build trust with people from diverse backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal communities.Experience and/or knowledge of working in a regional and remote context.Ability to problem solve and work creatively with young people.The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and WA Drivers License.Impact And BenefitsSharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact on the lives of families and communities across the Pilbara.In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive and welcoming community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.Also:From $105,696 full-time salary (includes 10% remote allowance) + 11.5% superannuation.Generous weekly rent subsidy of $300/week (T & C's apply).Generous tax-free salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 annually.Additional 1 week leave after 12 months service.3 days additional leave between Christmas and New Year.Why join us?At Anglicare WA we are all about people, placing people at the heart of our work.
