Job Description Are you a dynamic communications leader ready to make a difference in the fast-paced world of education?
At Navitas Careers & Industry division, we're seeking a Communications Director to lead our high-performing communications team across a diverse portfolio of globally recognised education brands, including SAE University College, ACAP University College, Navitas Skilled Futures, Charles Sturt University Sydney and Melbourne, and Women and Leadership Australia.
About the Role: In this pivotal position, you'll develop and implement strategic communication plans to enhance brand reputation, craft compelling narratives, and engage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Whether managing high-stakes crisis communications, building meaningful PR opportunities, or mentoring a small but exceptional team, you'll thrive in our collaborative agency-style environment that rewards creativity and impact.
What You'll Do: Lead the strategy for brand reputation and communications across multiple brands and channels.
Drive inspiring storytelling through student, staff and business success stories, PR initiatives, and content campaigns.
Build and maintain media and stakeholder relationships, including with government and community organisations.
Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a skilled communications team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Deliver internal and external communications that align with divisional goals and enhance engagement.
Provide communications at executive level of the division, contributing to comms strategies and plans, and preparing a range of written materials such as speeches, submissions, reports, staff comms and award nominations.
Qualifications What We're Looking For: Extensive experience in communications, including expertise in crisis management, media relations and PR.
A skilled storyteller with strong writing and editing skills and an exceptional ability to craft messages across a range of platforms that resonate with diverse audiences.
Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating a small team to successful outcomes.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a range of people, from executives and academics to creatives, media, government, staff and students.
Strong project management skills to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for education and a genuine interest in driving success for students, staff and communities.
