Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile:
Communication Consultants play a major role in developing, managing, delivering and evaluating communication strategies to achieve WA Health priorities. The positions work closely with senior executives as part of a business partnering service that may include:
Media liaison, both reactive and proactive, including outside normal working hours and participation in an on-call roster
Developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies
Developing communication objectives, strategies and tactics for both internal and external audiences
Preparing publications, speeches, feature articles, and web-based information
Coordinating events
Developing community education and awareness campaigns, including liaising with external marketing and advertising agencies.
Some out of hours work may be required.
