The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is an organisation that requires little introduction. As we fly towards our 100 year anniversary, our name is cemented in Australian history as a trusted healthcare provider to the communities we serve.
We're currently seeking a creative junior communications generalist to join on a Parental Leave Contract to curate stories that speak to our impact and enhance the reputation of our organisation.
Responsibilities:
Writing engaging messages for internal and external use in articles, media releases, interview briefs, social posts, presentations, and speeches.
Working closely with local and regional media outlets to create media opportunities.
Supporting internal communications, including the management of Town Halls, and using our channels to increase engagement and connection to our mission.
Leading content development for community newsletters to support awareness of our services and connect communities and volunteers to opportunities and education.
Supporting the development of marketing material using tools like Cana to ensure consistency with brand guidelines and organisational goals.
Daily media monitoring for RFDS industry news.
Maintenance of the RFDSSE website.

What skills and experience do you have?
Tertiary qualifications in Communications or relevant field or equivalent experience.
3 to 5 years relevant experience working in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field ideally within complex organisations.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Natural ability to move between audiences and channels.
Experience using data to measure success and adapting strategies to achieve strategic goals.
