We are seeking a talented Comedy Content Writer with strong Sports knowledge to join Picklebet to bring humour to our video content across social platforms. As a Comedy Content Writer, you will be responsible for conceptualising and developing engaging and entertaining comedic scripts that will resonate with our target audience. Your witty and original ideas will contribute to our brand's identity and help us stand out in the digital space. Key Responsibilities:Brainstorm and write comedic concepts and ideas for digital content and memes, including videos, social media posts, scripts, and advertisements.Craft funny, clever, and shareable content that aligns with our brand voice and objectives. This includes jokes, punchlines, humorous anecdotes, and comedic narratives.Produce original and engaging comedy content that entertains and aligns with our target audience. Collaborate with content / marketing teams.Stay updated on key sports, current trends, memes, and pop culture references that can be incorporated into comedic content.Ability to react quickly and develop ideas that run off the sports news cycle. Refine and polish comedy scripts and content to ensure clarity, timing, and comedic impact.Accept and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to enhance comedic material.Skills and abilities:Clever, witty, funny.A strong understanding / passion for Sports (racing is a bonus).Creative thinker with a unique comedic voice and the ability to generate fresh ideas.Exceptional writing skills with a strong command of language, grammar, and comedic timing.You have a good understanding of the millennial / Gen Z mind.You have a good understanding of social media / social media platforms. Strong work ethic and an ability to turn work around quickly. QualificationsProven experience as a Comedy Writer, Script Writer, or similar role. Ideally you have a body of work you can reference.
