About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Co-Console Engineer to join BAE Systems Maritime Australia based at the Osborne Naval Shipyard, in South Australia.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working.
Reporting to the Co-Console Team Lead you will be responsible for the configuration and administrating the completions management system Co-Console.
You will also be the in-house subject matter expert on Completions Management.
Key responsibilities include: Scope business requirements for managing completion activities; facilitate workshops with internal stakeholders and partners to develop effective process and software solutions.
Engage with applications administrators within IMT to ensure most suitable solution is delivered into the ship yard.
Establish requirements and assist in building Data integrations between shipyard systems.
Work with the supplier to align configuration and development of the toolset to meet business requirements.
Work with IM&T Project Teams and software OEM to plan, monitor and control delivery against implementation plan.
Assist in development and testing of new capabilities within the system – identifying and managing observations and defects to completion.
Develop a suite of user level/work package level metrics and management reports to enable effective use of completions data.
Assist in the configuration of completions information, with focus on operation efficiency Assist the Completions Management working group to actively build and manage the development of the system.
Deliver end user training and support in issue resolution About YOU Ideally, previous experience in both shipbuilding and process involved in the build, test and commissioning of ships systems and structure.
Previous experience working with suppliers to define and deliver requirements.
Knowledge of quality, testing, commissioning and acceptance requirements within large Engineering Projects.
Previous experience developing business processes.
Knowledge of completions approach and the ability to make decisions around the setup and upkeep of a Completions Management system Good people management, communication and report writing skills in order to effectively work with business stakeholders.
Ability to devise reports and queries which accurately show the completion status of the project.
Ability to document future business requirements, proactively make improvements to the systems/processes involved.
Ability to develop system users and self through identifying relevant training and personal development opportunities.
Experience in Completions Management toolsets, from companies such as, Orbit, Wood Group, Hexagon, Mods or Lucy is preferred, however not essential We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
