You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their families.Our Aim:The Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioners to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns.The Lead Practitioner will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical leadership to the team.The role will include:Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people and their families/carers.Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new child and youth mental health services in Tasmania.Leading and working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Eligibility:Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital based program that lead to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.Current Working with Children Registration.Desirable Criteria:A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in child, adolescent and/or youth mental health or relevant field.Training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).Current Driver's Licence.How to Apply:Apply Online.
