This role is unique in that the successful applicant will work during business hours whereas most cleaning staff at Abbotsleigh work in the evenings. Accordingly, we are looking for a self-motivated person who is happy to work unsupervised and enjoys the responsibility of maintaining facilities to a high standard of presentation, hygiene and safety. Maintaining a clean and safe environment directly affects students' well-being and learning experience. Knowing that your work contributes to a healthier and more pleasant atmosphere can be enriching.
Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. This full-time role covers both the Senior School and Junior School campuses.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, attention to detail, impeccable customer service, good presentation and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. This labour-intensive, heavy-lifting (20kg) role suits a person who is energetic and comfortable working alone, as well as displaying sensitivity to clients at all times.
A Working with Children Check Clearance is a requirement of the position. Only permanent residents of Australia may apply and be considered for this role.
