Help us build the future and we'll help you build a rewarding and purposeful career. We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Property & Buildings team in our Darwin office. In this role you will partner with your colleagues on a variety of complex greenfield and brownfield structural and multi-discipline projects in the public and private sectors, across an extensive regional client portfolio. Our global network is made up of architects, designers, planners, engineers, and environmental scientists all working towards the same goal. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Design of reinforced concrete, steel, timber, pre-cast concrete and masonry structures (incl. buildings, bridges, sewage treatment plants and schools to name a few). Delivery of small to medium scale industrial, commercial, residential and institutional projects. Contributing to the group's business development activities, including developing relationships with clients and preparing proposals. Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects. Project management and leading teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Providing strong leadership and management of a team of dedicated engineers with a passion for developing those around you and sharing your knowledge. What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil). CPEng / Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ). Passion for design documentation, assessment and analysis of technical data and imparting knowledge, skills, and experience through the provision of professional development in others. Excellent project management skills and ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers. Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Code and Standards. Strong communication skills both oral and written (including report writing). Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget. The capability to produce concise and accurate reports, technical specifications, design calculations, and drafting briefs and mark-ups. Competent in the use of structural analysis and design software SPACE GASS, ETABS, RAM Concept, ROBOT etc. Exposure to software such as Grasshopper, and Rhino is desirable. Interested? Apply now.
