To drive the next and ongoing stages of our growth plan we are creating a new role for a CFO to build, lead and own whole of business financial strategy and be the finance leader providing support and advice to the CEO, and Board whilst being critical in the execution of day to day financial operations as the core financial resource in a scaling business. OUTCOMES | WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH Role Overview: The CFO at Demi International is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing financial operations, providing strategic guidance, and managing the finance team of 1 in house Accounts Assistant and external resources. You will ensure compliance, optimise financial performance, and contribute to the organisation's strategic direction. Strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and effective communication are essential. Playing a critical role in driving commercial, organic growth and acquisitional growth and integration whilst establishing the financial and commercial, people, policy and system capability. Objective #1: People, functional and cultural leader - Successfully lead, partner and provide support to the executive and leadership function of the business, continuously improve team performance and output, by offering resources, guidance, feedback and coaching to achieve growth goals and foster a positive team and whole of business culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Drive a business partnering culture by collaborating with other departments and senior management to ensure the commercial and finance capabilities of the business are aligned with the broader goals and objectives of Demi Education Group. Objective #2: Facilitating Strategic Growth - Play a vital role in Demi International's growth by ensuring the availability of necessary resources to meet our strategic objectives via organic and inorganic growth. Develop a deep understanding of the current state of resource allocation and operational functions, identifying any gaps or deficiencies that could impede our growth. Collaborate with the executive team and board to develop and implement long-term strategic planning, aligned with Demi's overall growth strategy. As a key enabler, contribute to the agility and success of our rapidly growing and agile business. Objective #3: Enhancing Commercial Performance Management and Accountability - Establish a robust commercial performance management framework to drive decision-making and accountability, promoting long-term, sustainable business and financial performance. Conduct a comprehensive analysis of Demi's strategic objectives, identifying key performance indicators. Collaborate with the leadership team to establish measurable performance targets. Implement scalable systems for monitoring and reporting progress, providing regular feedback and developing action plans to address performance gaps. Work closely with the leadership team to ensure the highest integrity, transparency, and accountability in delivering on performance objectives. Objective #4: Driving Effective Change Management - Successfully implement change management strategies to drive efficiencies, scalability, and overall performance through Demi and strategic acquisition partners. Partner with key stakeholders to develop commercially focused change management plans. Analyse current business and operational practices, identifying areas for improvement. Effectively communicate with teams, colleagues, and leadership to prioritize change projects and adapt plans to changing needs. Lead change initiatives that enhance Demi's operations and drive its success. Objective #5: Financial Leadership and Compliance - Provide expert financial leadership to ensure Demi Education Group's financial position and performance comply with accounting standards and regulations. Perform ongoing reviews of financial best practices, including policies, procedures, and systems, to meet the current and future needs of a rapidly growing institution. Safeguard financial integrity and support decision-making through accurate and transparent financial reporting. Objective #6: Strategic Commercial Partnership - Develop and enhance the commercial aspects of Demi Education Group's operations, driving sustainable solutions that improve business profitability. Utilise data-driven insights from financial, customer, market, and operational data sets to evaluate the feasibility of new initiatives and enhance decision-making. Serve as a trusted business partner and advisor to the CEO and wider leadership teams, supporting the overall growth and success of Demi Education Group. COMPETENCIES | WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR As CFO, you will provide strategic financial advice, drive business results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You should possess strong analytical and modelling skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial systems, to work with large data sets and support strategic decision-making. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams. To excel in this role, you will have experience in driving financial planning and analysis with a proven track record of success in a commercial finance role, including experience overseeing / managing the technical aspects of a finance team. You should be able to provide strategic financial advice, identify opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations that align with the organization's overall goals. It is also preferable for you to have experience in a human services, private equity backed and/or high-growth organisation and thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires adaptability to changing business needs. In order to set you up for success and see you thrive in this role we are looking for you to have strengths in the below areas of competency: Financial Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of financial principles, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations is essential. Evaluate risks and opportunities, provide insights, and make recommendations to drive business growth and profitability. Change Management: Proven ability to drive and manage change within the finance function and the broader organisation. Skilled in identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing change initiatives, and managing stakeholders through change. Collaboration and Business Partnership: Strong collaborative skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong business partnerships. Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing financial insights and driving business outcomes. Leadership and Team Management: Exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, offering guidance, feedback, and support to ensure team success. Business Acumen: Develop a solid understanding of the organization's industry, products, services, and customer base. Use this knowledge to provide strategic financial advice and insights that align with business objectives. Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in analysing financial data, identifying trends, and extracting meaningful insights to support decision-making and drive performance improvements. Communication and Influencing: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Effective in building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
