Deliver connections with the capacity to change the world as a Chief Engineer responsible for overseeing and ensuring engineering and technical work are in accordance with the Engineering Management System. Key responsibilities include day-to-day management of a Sustainment engineering and technical team, ensuring engineering work is carried out in accordance with approved plans and processes, and maintaining engineering management system compliance with the Land Materiel Safety Manual (LMSM).
Key Responsibilities:Lead a Sustainment engineering and technical team.Ensure engineering work is carried out in accordance with approved plans and processes.Maintain engineering management system compliance with the LMSM.Exercising Design Authority on the SGS-E system.Maintain the technical integrity of the system.Minimum Requirements:The Chief Engineer must have:
Tertiary qualifications in engineering and Professional Chartered Engineer in accordance with Engineers Australia requirements.Experience in leading and running multi-disciplined engineering teams within Defence projects, particularly in Sustainment projects.Possess strong coordination and prioritisation skills.Possess leadership skills to guide and motivate teams.Have a deep understanding of Defence engineering frameworks (eg LMSM) and standard methodologies.Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate should have:
