We are seeking a Change and Communications Manager for a high profile digital transformation program across the Territory.
The Change and Communications Manager focuses on clearly interpreting, communicating and implementing the programs change and communications strategies and plans that are designed to obtain ultimate adoption, minimise resistance and realise associated benefits within the Northern Territory healthcare sector.
This role is for a period of 10-month contract until 31 December 2025 based in Darwin.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Successfully deliver the change and communications strategies and associated plans.Design, develop, implement and evaluate tactical level Organisational Change Management (OCM) plans, activities and artefacts for assigned stakeholder groups across NT Health.Provide leadership and develop change communications, stakeholder engagement, web and marketing activities, applying contemporary methodologies and ensuring communications are tailored and relevant to intended audience.Coordinate/undertake the preparation, editing and publishing requirements for program/project publications; prepare/oversee the development of correspondence and materials including (but not limited to) presentations, marketing collateral, briefings, reports, discussion papers and speeches.Develop and implement success measures, monitor the change progress and effectiveness of the communications activities. Provide high level, timely, accurate advice and track and report on issues and barriers that may affect the delivery of the change and communications activities.Co-design and delivery of stakeholder engagement events and people change support services (examples: roadshows, information sessions and webinars, pre and post go live people support services).Develop in collaboration with program and business subject matter experts change communication messages and collateral for the programs communication channels (intranet, marketing collateral, presentations, newsletters and quick reference guides).Identify and capture benefits to inform the Benefit Realisation planning and tracking process.Provide timely, accurate feedback and mitigation advice on risks and barriers that may affect the change process.Deliver reliable work progress status updates using established program process, tools and templates.Ensure the smooth transition of resources and skills from the Program to the Target Operating Model (TOM) across NT Health and DCDD as the program progresses.Monitor and promote consistent and robust system use by all staff to support them in their roles and ultimately improve patient care.Participate in "Go-Live" activities to ensure that NT Health users feel supported and that the necessary training and change activities have occurred and are effective.SELECTION CRITERIA QUESTIONS Minimum of 5 years organisational change management and communication experience on large, complex IT system implementation programs and or projects across geographically dispersed service locations.Proven understanding of current and emerging trends in information technology relevant to the delivery of change management activities.Proven ability to lead and coach a team of high performing change and communication specialists whilst still fully responsible to manage and lead the change and communication activities.High level ability to translate organisational change strategy into operational goals and create a shared sense of purpose within the team and with stakeholders.Well demonstrated capabilities of managing a broad range of stakeholders for large and complex organisational wide digital business transformations.Knowledge of contemporary change and communication frameworks, methodologies, practices and tools.Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation of high-level correspondence and communications material to a high standard, including the ability to translate technical information into plain English.Proven ability to think creatively and conceptualise communications solutions to address Program needs in a major project based work environment, demonstrating highly developed ability to identify stakeholders and analyse their specific needs.Experience with stakeholder engagement methodologies and forming collaborative working relationships to ensure change is understood and managed to achieve desired benefits.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining program focus, managing change in an environment of continuous improvement and change.Knowledge and experience in dealing with change resistance, negotiation and mediation techniques.Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, change management, journalism, media, marketing or a related discipline.Applications Close: 2 pm Monday, 20 January 2025.
