These roles sit within our Community and Culture team and the Venue Technicians deliver the technical and operational requirements of events held. What we Offer Casual opportunity7-day availability (Monday to Sunday)Flexible shifts - day, evenings and weekends on a regular basisCompetitive hourly rate from $31.62 per hour plus 25% casual loading and 11% superannuation The successful candidate will have Drivers LicenceExtensive knowledge and experience in the planning, implementation and operation of live stagingBroad knowledge and experience of other stage craft including sound, lighting and audio visual and operation of digital desks. A strong understanding of the needs and requirements of a range of stage presentations and eventsAbility to work flexible hours over a 7-day availability (Monday – Sunday)Ability to work effectively and efficiently unsupervisedGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood knowledge of and commitment to safe working practices for events and equipment use and maintenanceExperience in maintaining theatrical equipmentAbility to read and execute detailed stage and lighting plansAbility to work to and meet important and multiple deadlinesDemonstrated experience in delivering superior customer serviceComputer literacy Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to maintain a prolonged standing/walking posture throughout the shift. Sufficient mobility is required to enable the employee to negotiate stairs and ramps. The employee must be able to work at heights and be able to lift and move furniture.
