Casual, Part -Time Teachers In Foundation And Diploma Studies - Murdoch College

RoleWe are looking for casual, part-time teachers in Foundation and Diploma studies in the following disciplines: Information TechnologySTEM Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver scheduled class lessons, practicals and workshopsDeliver 1 hour of consultation (per unit per week) for students outside of scheduled teaching hours, especially for students considered to be at riskPrepare unit teaching materials in collaboration with teaching team membersDevelop unit outlines, curriculum documents and assessment tasks in collaboration with other teaching team membersMark assessments including grading, recording results and participate in college and pathway moderation processes as requiredDesign, invigilate and mark examsUndertake pastoral care duties for under 18-year-old students in conjunction with Student Success Officers and the Academic DirectorParticipate in College supported professional development sessions, as well as pursuing opportunities for self-directed professional learningMaintain awareness of college resources, communications, information and staff, in order to best direct students to support within the College regarding their studies, health, safety and wellbeingComply with company policies and procedures including WHS legislation requirements Requirements: Degree in relevant discipline (essential)Qualifications and experience in teaching international students at Foundation or Diploma, and bachelor's degree level (essential)Experience in working with international students (essential)Interest in teaching and student learning (essential)Excellent organisational and administrative skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationIntellectual and operational flexibilityExcellent computer literacyAbility to consistently interpret and apply policyValid Working with Children Check (will be required to obtain WWCC)Demonstrated background in professional development endeavours (desirable) Applications close 30th April 2024.
