Café Cook/Chef

We are hiring for an experienced Chef to join our Devonport store Café!
If you are an experienced Cook or qualified Chef, have a can-do attitude and are available during the daytime, we would love to hear from you!
This is initially a casual role and has the potential to be a part or full time role in the future.
You will need:

A friendly attitude and good communication skills to provide the attentive customer service Hill Street is known for.
Proven cooking experience / recognised qualification.
A love of working with food and people (both colleagues and customers)
Energy, initiative and willingness to take direction.
The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding food handling and workplace health and safety.
Ongoing daytime availability on at least 3-4 days per week and every second weekend. Ideally available for 15-20 hours per week. Your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements, with flexibility to suit your needs.
Physical fitness for lifting and standing.

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. The 2024-25 base hourly pay rates for level 4 adults (qualified trade) are: Full-time & part-time

Sunday $40.76

Weekdays $33.96

Sunday $40.76

Additional penalty rates apply to public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts.
