THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an experienced Buyer (8-month fixed-term contract) to support the Head of Category in all day-to-day activities to source and procure merchandise and execute the category strategy.
The position will promote product ranges across the Food & Tobacco categories to achieve organizational KPIs and develop and grow supplier relationships by negotiating product prices and ranges to meet targets.
YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE Execute strategy from the Head of Category and conduct weekly store visits as needed. Manage product range, promotions, pricing, in-stock rates, margin, brand visibility, trade income, returns, compliance, and reporting by category. Collaborate with Planner on demand planning, labelling, and expiry stock. Perform sales analysis, ensure Master Data integrity, and report to the Head of Category. Build supplier relationships for optimal pricing, promotions, and incentives, while reviewing competitive pricing.
