Key Accountabilities: Reporting to the State Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships across our full suite of mortgage products.
The BDM will also act as a business coach to your network of brokers and proactively help, guide, and advise their panel of brokers to achieve revenue targets.
Key Activities: You will be responsible for:
Providing a delightful experience to brokers and their customers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications, or existing loans.Proactively managing a sales funnel and following up sales leads and opportunities to completion.Helping educate brokers around all loan opportunities and how it can drive their business growth.Supporting broader business initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies and broker/customer satisfaction.Skills & experiences you'll bring to the team: Demonstrated excellence in business development, sales and relationship management with proven experience in Mortgage lending and third-party intermediary spaces.Experience in the banking, non-bank and finance industries, specifically within the broker space.Current relationships and contacts within the broker market.Proven experience in growing a panel of brokers.Proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets.Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment.Ability to understand complex industry segments and utilise this understanding to develop initiatives to drive growth.Understanding of financial reports and demonstrated numerical and statistical analysis skills.Sound understanding of and experience in project management methodologies.Key attributes that will lead to your success: Self-motivated with a desire to continually exceed expectations and meet targets.A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics.Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and a focus on attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and communication skills backed by a history of providing memorable service, solutions, and advice.Confidence in dealing with external stakeholders, including strong presentation skills to individuals and groups of all sizes.An ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.Ability to write clearly and concisely.Interested in joining our winning team?
