We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Business Development Assistant to join us casually at Darwin Convention Centre!
The purpose of this role is to provide both administrative and support to the National Business Development team while providing World Class customer service.
This will include tasks such as: Coordinating all operational and administrative activities for the Business Development Department, including preparing agendas, meeting minutes and department calendar Assist with the management of internal client data, including the preparation of hiring agreements, variation requests and updating the client database.
Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders on client requested changes to contracted events Manage incoming calls and website enquires for the Business Development department while providing support for the Main Reception Desk.
Assist with local client research, site visits, client hosting and client gifts.
Assist with reconciliation of reports in preparation for the monthly Business Development KPI reports.
Maintain and update relevant distribution lists for direct marketing campaigns and collateral as directed by the Marketing Manager and Business Development department.
Act as the compliance and ISO systems administrator for the Business Development department Maintain all promotional material and collateral, while supporting our Marketing Manager ensure the information on the Centre's website is current.
Understand and foster the roles and relationships with the Northern Territory Government, Darwin Cove Convention Centre Pty Ltd (DCCC); ASM Global, Board of Directors, Media, VIP's and other external organisations Provide support for the Director and Executives of the Business Development department Any other duties as directed by the General Manager and/or Director Business Development ABOUT YOU Everyday our people are responsible for delivering extraordinary experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

Understanding of the principles of Sales and Marketing Experience in data base management, or willingness to learn Demonstrated high level of customer service skills High quality of communication skills, both written and verbal Intermediate / advanced knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office suite Excellent personal presentation and grooming Attentive to detail Personable and courteous Able to use initiative Willing to work both as a team and independently A satisfactory National Police Records Check is required for this role.
