Bus Driver for Aged Care Join the Amana Living Family as a Bus Driver! Are you passionate about making a difference? We are looking for a driver with a happy disposition and great people skills to provide safe, careful, and comfortable transport to our clients and their carers; some of whom may have physical and/or cognitive disabilities requiring special handling techniques and care.
As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our residents, clients, and staff, ensuring that every trip is not just a journey but an enjoyable experience. Your assistance planning and facilitating outings and activities for this type of client would give you greater reward for this role than just providing transport.
Role: Permanent Part-Time, Tuesday-Friday working 60.8 hours per fortnightProviding safe transportation of clients including securing wheelchairs, checking all seat belts are secure and ensuring an awareness of the special needs of clients to be transported, making each ride a delightful adventureAssisting clients with getting on and off the busConducting routine vehicle checks and ensuring vehicle is serviced and maintainedGeneral cleaning and upkeep of the busTimely reporting on any areas of concernFoster connections with residents through friendly conversation and a warm smile.Collaborate with staff to create engaging trip itineraries that cater to our residents' interests.Requirements: A genuine caring and compassionate nature and enjoy looking after the elderly and frailA heart for service and a genuine interest in connecting with our community.Have a current F Class endorsement on your drivers licence (or be willing to obtain)NDIS Clearance or willing to obtainCurrent first aid certificate and CPR certificate or willingness to acquireAbility to work independently, unsupervised and as part of a teamAbility to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of clients and residents are maintainedA positive attitude and a commitment to creating joyful experiences for our residentsCovid-19 vaccination and current flu vaccination as per Amana Living policiesWhy Join Us?
