Due to strong growth and relocating to larger premises, Our client is offering a position for a Brake Press Operator to operate our 160T NG machine at our headquarters at Burpengary (around 1hr north of Brisbane City).
The Opportunity The Brake Press Operator in our facility reports to the warehouse operations manager and will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and seamless operation.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operating and controlling our 160T NG machine, the production of high-quality sheet metal and other components Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean working environment  Manage the movement and storage of raw materials Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals Skills & Experience Proven experience in a similar role operating various machinery and equipment  Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes Strong attention to detail and quality standards Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects if required Ability to adapt to change and work across multiple machinery and equipment Excellent teamwork and communication skills Forklift licence is highly advantageous Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade is desirable but not essential What's in it for you?
This is a Permanent Full Time position with a 6 month probation period.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 4pm which includes overtime hours and penalty rates.
Some Saturday's are required to be worked, hours varying from 8am to 12am which is paid at overtime rates.
The position is available to start immediately, but it is not a requirement.
