Join Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Australia's leading independent law firm. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the daily operations of the National Billing Team.
This role will also contribute towards the quality of the firm's billing process including timeliness, accuracy of data and general support of high quality matter management.
In supporting the National Billings Team Leader with billing and client related services, this role is also responsible for providing efficient and accurate support on a wide range of quality control, problem solving, processing & reporting functions within the Billings team.

Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with Partners and Legal Assistants to ensure the timely completion of the monthly billing process, monitoring and ensuring accuracy.Manage the operations of the Billing Team, providing leadership and guidance in relation to management and understanding of WIP across the firm.Assist with managing the efficient close of the monthly billing cycle and post month-end deliverables.Monitoring and keeping an accurate record of Partner's monthly billing intentions and ensuring billing deadlines are met for all WIP and un-billed disbursements.Management of matter maintenance including the creation of new matter openings, rate sets and other system inputs ensuring client details are aligned with their specific requirements.Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly client reporting and dealing with other adhoc queries from internal stakeholders in a timely manner.Liaising alongside the credit team in order to provide guidance on collection of bills, resolving discrepancies and bill adjustments.Assist in managing billing related corrections and queries, write-offs, time entry adjustments/transfers, bill reversals and posting bills.Upskilling and training Legal Assistants on all billings related matters including reporting as necessary.Manage compliance with all trust accounting and controlled monies procedures.
Also assisting with trust account audits.Qualifications and ExperienceA minimum of 2+ year's employment experience in a similar commercial environment with the ability to learn rapidly.Legal industry experience or exposure to time billing based organisation desirable.Credit experience highly regarded.Experience in CMS or similar large scale Practice Management System.About us:Corrs Chambers Westgarth is Australia's leading independent law firm.
