Supporting Tourism Tasmania's engagement program, coordinating with key stakeholders to deliver executive, industry, government and media communications tasks.
Tourism Tasmania is looking for a talented Communications and Public Relations Coordinator who loves Tasmania and will bring their positive energy, knowledge and skills to support the agency's communication projects.
You will utilise your strong written and verbal communications skills, knowledge of Tasmania and understanding of the media landscape to support the agency's engagement program, delivering strong corporate communications for internal and external stakeholders.
Your exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to manage and deliver high quality work amongst competing deadlines will be key requirements for this role.
What you'll be responsible for Providing communications and project management support towards the agency's engagement program, led by the Office of the CEO (OCEO).
Working closely with the Executive Communications Manager and executive (including the CEO) on corporate communications tasks including internal communications, event presentations, and provide communications project support.
Working with key internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of strategies that build and enhance the agency's corporate reputation through local media and corporate PR.
What you'll work on Provide communications support to internal teams on agency projects, programs or announcements.
Prepare media releases and support proactive and reactive local media opportunities when required, as well as support the planning, preparation and implementation of industry and media engagement and events.
Provide support for communications tasks across a range of channels, including corporate website, social media, industry newsletter, intranet and other internal communications channels.
Support the preparation of briefings, reports, presentations, speech notes, articles, media releases and other communication materials for key executive and government stakeholders as required.
Support the management of corporate reputation through media monitoring and engagement, including support of incoming media requests and coordination of the response, tracking, analysing and reporting on coverage and sentiment with insight and integrity.
Implement your well-developed administration and organisational skills to ensure timely, relevant and effective communications engagement.
