Full time The Public Sector Commission is on a mission to create an innovative and future fit public sector for all Western Australians.
This position leads the Financial Reporting and Budgeting, Procurement and Business Services teams whose work is critical in ensuring a trusted and capable Commission to shape, build and regulate the public sector.
The teams work with staff and external parties to implement high quality budgeting, financial reporting, procurement and contract management services and systems; and deliver exceptional facilities management services.
Our team now needs a leader who has substantial experience leading and developing best practice financial reporting, budgeting, procurement and business services; and who can provide exceptional strategic and technical finance and business advice to the Commissioner and senior managers. You'll partner with Commission leaders to shape and deliver the agency's strategic objectives, ensuring leaders understand the financial implications of decisions.
You'll manage the preparation of internal budgets, budget papers and monthly management reports to Corporate Executive. You'll support and advise managers and executive on financial, procurement and facilities management matters; and partner with business areas to improve capabilities in these areas.
You'll have a background in financial reporting, budgeting and/or procurement, and be adept at solving problems, building effective partnerships, and translating financial information into understandable and actionable information.
You'll be a current member of either the CPA Australia as a CPA; Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as a Chartered Accountant; National Institute of Accountants as a Professional National Accountant; or appropriate membership of an overseas accounting body.
