GRACosway is looking for an Associate - Public Affairs to join our Canberra office, working on a mix of political, policy and regulatory issues as part of our national team. This full-time, permanent role would suit someone with around two to three years' experience and offers plenty of variety and room to grow.
About GRACosway GRACosway is proud to be Australia's leading public affairs and corporate and financial communications consulting firm. We specialise in providing organisations with strategic advice about government, public policy, regulation, communications and investor relations.
About the role As an Associate, you will work with senior colleagues to support GRACosway's clients. A typical day may involve:
Preparing briefing materials on political developmentsConducting detailed research on a specific policy issueMonitoring developments in parliament and media and providing updates to clientsAttending client meetings and providing support with drafting materialsContributing to external publications, including the weekly Wrap UpAbout you GRACosway's Associates come from different professional backgrounds and offer a mix of skills and strengths. Our ideal candidate for this role will be:
Politically aware, with an interest in news and current affairs.A great communicator who presents confidently and writes well.Curious, self-motivated and skilled at research.You have a strong client service ethic, are highly organised, capable of managing a variety of tasks and anticipating the needs of colleagues and clients. Prior experience in a government environment, with an industry body, advocacy organisation or consulting firm would be viewed favourably.
