Let's make waves in healthcare together. ROLE OVERVIEW As an Associate reporting to the Investment Director, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our business by: 1. Identifying and assessing promising investment opportunities. 2. Undertaking thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, deal structuring, and legal negotiations and; 3. Assisting portfolio companies, aiding in strategy formulation and operational enhancements. This role places you at the heart of a cohesive, collaborative team, offering robust support for your career advancement. POSITION DETAILS Your primary responsibilities will encompass (but are not limited to): Driving the origination, assessment, negotiation, execution, management, and divestment of investments, focusing on partnership-style and lower mid-market buy-out transactions Conducting in-depth research to pinpoint compelling investment themes and sectors. Engaging in the cultivation and management of relationships with business proprietors, brokerage networks, and consultants. Creating and evaluating financial models and supporting the analysis of investment opportunities. Supporting the preparation of internal investment recommendation documents. Undertaking special projects with portfolio entities to enhance value, including advising the executive team (CEO, CFO, COO) on strategic and operational initiatives. Assisting with investor communication requirements, including liaising with middle and back-office support teams. ABOUT YOU We're looking for candidates who possess: A friendly and collaborative demeanour conducive to a small team setting, with a proven ability to forge strong connections with business owners/entrepreneurs, advisors and a broker network. A bachelor's degree with a commendable academic track record, especially in analytics and corporate finance. Between 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory services, or private equity – healthcare experience will be well regarded. Exceptional skills in financial modelling and a solid grasp of core accounting principles. A thorough understanding of financial concepts and valuation techniques. Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in writing, with the capacity to clearly express opinions and compile coherent investment documentation. A highly organized, diligent, reliable, detail-oriented, and tenacious work ethic.
