The Future Focus Team (FFT) exists to ensure a futures thinking lens is applied to DVA's policies, strategies, frameworks, and processes.
The FFT is a fast-paced, supportive, dynamic team currently delivering a number of high-profile, high-priority initiatives across three work streams: Futures Thinking Capability, Critical Projects, and Process Improvement.
The three areas work in partnership to inform the strategy and business processes required to drive effective, future-focused change.
Key activities include:
The FFT is made up of a core team, complemented by regular short-term placements that bring together a broad range of backgrounds, skills, and experience in order to support DVA's ongoing commitment to build futures capability across the Department.

Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 23 months.
A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
