The opportunity we have available The International Aviation, Technology and Services (IATS) Division and the Domestic Aviation and Reform (DAR) Division have multiple positions available at the APS6 level to support the implementation of the Government's aviation reform agenda.

The DAR Division is responsible for promoting an efficient, sustainable, safe, competitive air transport system.
The IATS Division works to maintain a competitive, sustainable and safe aviation sector through appropriate regulation, program delivery and policy development.

To support this work program, we are looking for senior policy officers to join new teams charged with legislative implementation of major reforms to aviation disability standards, regulatory frameworks, and other legislative projects across the divisions.

What will you do?
Ideal candidates will have experience in legislative and regulatory design and be comfortable in working in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include:
Contributing to drafting instructions and reviewing draft legislation; Writing explanatory material; Interpreting and analysing legislation; Assisting with consultation and stakeholder management; Applying an understanding of parliamentary processes; Contributing to the management of legislative projects.

Eligibility requirements Employment is subject to conditions within the Public Service Act 1999 .
