About the roles
Human Resource (HR) Advisors are critical in supporting the ACIC and its people, from delivering on attraction, recruitment and retention strategies, to supporting employees and managers in relation to entitlements or wellbeing. HR Advisors drive the design, delivery and implementation of strategies which contribute to organisational goals and priorities, or those which support staff and managers. As a HR Advisor, you will have well-developed organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a sound analytical ability. You will be a team player with strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to foster relationships in order to deliver high quality advice and support to stakeholders, including the senior executive. In addition, you will be innovative, a problem-solver and committed to delivering exceptional service to the agency.

Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role at the APS level 6, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
Provides specialist advice and services to stakeholders on a range of HR-related functions.
Leads the development of HR policies and procedures that meet legislative and agency requirements (not required for Entry Programs, Workforce Planning and Diversity and Inclusion roles).
Supports consultation with staff and union representatives during times of major change or the introduction of major initiatives.
Communicates effectively, developing and maintaining productive working relationships both internally and externally.
Identifies and implements improved HR processes and workflows which reflect innovative and forward leaning HR practices.
Provides accurate operational and strategic advice in relation to industrial instruments, relevant legislation and policies.
Manages complex people cases with expertise, sensitivity and discretion.
Demonstrates experience in mentoring or supervising team members.
Demonstrates relevant technical skills/experience for the team that you are applying for.
To be successful in this role at the APS level 5, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
Provides high-quality, efficient and accurate administrative support and services to stakeholders on a range of HR-related functions.
Communicates effectively, developing and maintaining productive working relationships both internally and externally.
Identifies and implements improved HR processes and workflows which reflect innovative and forward leaning HR practices.
Demonstrates an ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of work and competing priorities.
Supports the management of complex people cases with expertise, sensitivity and discretion.
Demonstrate relevant technical skills/experience to align with the team.
Desirable qualifications and experience
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and SAP HR system experience.
