Your role As an Aircraft Technician in the Air Force, you'll maintain, service and repair state-of-the-art aircraft, such as the P-8A Poseidon, C-17A Globemaster III and F-35A Lightning II.
You'll work as part of a highly skilled team, and be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of aircraft, airframe systems, engines, and engine systems at either flightline or workshop level.
Your duties may include: Aircraft flightline handling and replenishment.
Inspecting, removing, and installing aircraft components at all levels of maintenance.
Performing aircraft reconfigurations, upgrades, and modifications.
Preparing and using aircraft support equipment.
Identifying and demanding aircraft spares.
Preparing and packaging technical equipment for transportation.
Amending and maintaining technical publications.
Inspecting, maintaining, servicing, repairing, and fault diagnosing a variety of systems and equipment, including engine, auxiliary power, flight control, landing gear, pressurization, surface ice control, hydraulic, pneumatic power, lubrication, and fuel systems.

Location Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown, or Edinburgh.

For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have passed Year 10 English, Maths and Science (with a Physics component).
