Seeking an Administrative Officer - Business Support to undertake a range of administrative and transactional processes, ensuring compliance in accordance with relevant service standards, legislation, Treasurer's Instructions and Departmental policies and procedures.
The position is responsible for assisting the broader team in the day-to-day office operations of the Unit.
The Role:
The position is integral to supporting the administrative and financial business of the Department of Medicine.
You will be required to:
Apply your high degree of accuracy by reviewing, investigating, and coding claims and invoices for approval, while considering the Treasurer's Instructions and Departmental policies and procedures.
Use your well-developed communication skills and knowledge of computer applications to draft correspondence and prepare reports for senior members of the team.
Be flexible and adaptable to assist with the day-to-day office operations.

The Team:
The Department of Medicine is the largest department at the Launceston General Hospital supporting service areas, patients and employees under Critical Services (CS), Acute Medical Inpatient Services (AIMS), Sub-Acute and Ambulatory Care Service (SAACS).
Our team consists of Executive Assistants to the Director – Department of Medicine, three Nursing Directors, a Business Manager – Medicine (BM-M) and Administrative Assistant – Business Support (AA-BS).
Details of appointment:
Permanent full-time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 25 November 2024.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $71,661 to $77,455 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
