Queensland Corrective Services is a top-tier forward thinking public safety agency, committed to the humane containment, supervision and rehabilitation of offenders.Every day, our work makes Queensland a safer place to live and work.We are seeking a permanent full-time Administration Officer to join our Mount Isa District Office.The Administration officer role contributes to the effective operation of the district office by providing administration support.
The Essential Requirements for this role are: Communication skills as demonstrated through the ability to listen, understand and speak clearly to a wide range of audiences.Written skills with the ability to summarise information and data.Proven administrative skills including financial processing and database management.Ability to apply and understand departmental policies and procedures.Ability to use judgment and discretion with confidential information.Planning & Organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.Ability to acquire knowledge of relevant acts and regulations.Decision making and reasoning involve gathering information, evaluating a variety of solutions, and selecting the best option, working ethically, working under pressure and demonstrating resilience.Teamwork skills with the ability to work without supervision and as part of the broader team. In addition, demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to team results.Information technology skills at a competent level with the willingness to learn new IT skills and use internal information management databases as well as Microsoft Office software.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS There are no mandatory requirements.The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class licence is required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
