Youth Specialist - Youth Justice In this varied and challenging role, you'll work in our intensive youth mentoring programs in the beautiful Kimberley town of Kununurra.

In this full time, maximum term role (two years, with potential for permanency), based in Kununurra, you'll work in partnership with local youth justice stakeholders to support targeted young offenders aged 10-18 to reduce offending.
As part of our Kununurra Case Work Team, you'll report to our Team Leader.
You will make a difference by: Engaging and building rapport with at-risk children, young people, families and community members Supporting young people to increase safety, positive community engagement, life skills and cultural connection Providing practical support, mentoring and advocacy for young people and their families (as required) with complex needs Collaborating with government and non-government services to work towards common goals A place to feel valued: You're a highly flexible youth worker who is calm under pressure and loves to have positive impact working with traumatised youth.

Bringing your best every day means: Demonstrated skills and experience in working with young people, in particular Aboriginal young people Demonstrated experience in case management A minimum of a Diploma in Youth Work, Psychology, Social Work (or a related field), or significant equivalent experience Driver's licence Working at 54 reasons is more than just a job.
