Key Responsibilities: Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of mechanics, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks. Maintenance Management: Schedule and prioritise maintenance and repair work on all quarry machinery and equipment. Inspections: Conduct and oversee regular inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs and address issues proactively. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage parts inventory effectively. Communication: Communicate effectively with the production team while fostering collaboration and ensuring that all mechanical operations align with production goals. Collaboration: Work with high level management to implement best practices and continuous workshop improvement initiatives. Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workshop. Qualifications: Experience in a supervisory role within the mechanical field. Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and repair. Ability to identify and implement OEM procedures for repair and maintenance. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Experience working in heavy industry and ideally a sound knowledge of Caterpillar and Komatsu machine systems. Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Mechanical Trade equivalent) are preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
