About the role As the Team Leader for the Northeast Kobelco Workshop at our head office in Burton, you will be at the forefront of ensuring smooth operation and productivity.
Your role will encompass leadership, technical experience and advice, organisation skills to oversee the maintenance and repairs on vehicles in our workshop.
Key Responsibilities Ability to manage a small team.
Quality control checks prior to collection.
Offering technical guidance to the team.
Liaising with upper management.
Ability to think critically and problem solve.
Undertaking routine service and repairs at a productivity level of 80%.
Strong focus on increasing the productivity and efficiency of the overall workshop.
About You You will be an enthusiastic and motivated leader who is also a hands-on team player with a passion for mentoring the next generation of technicians in our workshop.
Previous experience in a senior technician or leadership role.
Experience working on Mobile Plant Machinery.
Strong technical ability with proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise, delegate effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety standards, compliance, and industry best practices.
Cert III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
