About the Opportunity The Works Supervisor is to independently and proactively prioritise, plan, schedule and supervise the effective service delivery of a multi-disciplinary team of contractors to maintain and upgrade facilities across the site in support of ANSTO's business activities.
You will ensure that all maintenance and contract works are scheduled and carried out proactively in accordance with ANSTO's policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
About You Looking for conscientious personnel with the ability to work well in a team setting whilst being able to effectively and proactively prioritise and supervise across multi-trade portfolios.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience in working across multiple trades, have good communication skills and a strong safety focus.
Your Duties and Responsibilities Liaise and schedule works with area owners and contractors and supervise/manage the completion of all routine and non-routine maintenance and/or construction work across ANSTO. Ensure all work undertaken complies with the ANSTO policies for safety, quality, environmental, security and regulatory framework. Manage the risk of construction and maintenance activities impacting on the local community, businesses, ANSTO's staff, normal operations, existing services, infrastructure, facilities and other projects. Review and identify opportunities to improve and promote a strong safety culture including safety risk assessments and Contractor inductions and ensure Safety plans and SWMS are prepared and reviewed for all routine and non-routine works. Assist in the development of Contractor Induction and Training programs. Agile and able to proactively prioritise, plan, schedule and supervise multi-disciplinary contractors and tradespersons to ensure routine and non-routine works and supported tasks are completed within the nominated timeframes and ensure that the work request, compliance, quality and safety standards are met.
