Industrial & Employee Relations (Human Resources & Recruitment) We are seeking a Workplace Relations Lead to play a critical role in shaping and delivering best practice Workplace Relations strategies across the organisation with a strong focus on compliance and regulation, industrial relations, employee engagement, and dispute resolution.
About the Role Reporting to GM HR Programs, you will lead, mentor and inspire a collaborative, high performing team of Workplace Relations experts and foster positive, productive, and compliant workplace environments.
Key responsibilities include: Workplace Relations Strategy: Design, implement, and monitor a strategy aligned with business objectives and a positive workplace culture.Industrial Relations Framework: Implement and oversee The Salvation Army's (TSA) strategic Industrial Relations framework.Industrial Disputes Management: Monitor employment conditions, minimise industrial dispute risks, and ensure timely resolution.Workplace Investigations & Dispute Resolution: Manage complex investigations, performance issues, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolutions.External Representation: Represent TSA with external bodies, including the Fair Work Commission, Equal Opportunity Commissions, and relevant tribunals.Enterprise Bargaining: Lead enterprise agreement negotiations, focusing on national consistency, simplified industrial instruments, and strong employee engagement.Enterprise Agreements & Awards: Provide expert advice on EA and Award interpretation, ensuring consistency and proper application.About You Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Employee Relations or related field.Extensive experience in managing complex workplace relations environments.Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of employee and labour relations.In-depth knowledge and application of Modern Awards, federal and state employment laws and regulations.Experience in education, government, social and community services advantageous.Proven ability to exercise judgement, influence, be adaptive, pragmatic and flexible.What we Offer NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650)Flexible/hybrid WFH conditionsHealth, fitness and financial discounts / benefitsPaid parental leave - 12 weeksUp to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave schemeUp to 5 days paid leave per year to 'volunteer' in a TSA program or activityPurpose driven career which has positive social and sustainable outcomesPositively supporting and impacting the lives of others through your career contributionAbout Us TSA is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.
