The 'People Stream' of the Suncorp Bank Integration has a significant agenda and aims to build and maintain a highly engaged workforce, nurturing talent and capabilities from both businesses to succeed together and deliver what matters.
About the RoleAs a Workforce Strategy and Organisation Lead in our Suncorp Bank Integration Program Team, you will develop a dynamic workforce strategy (size, shape, location) aligned to the phases of integration, whilst ensuring supporting workforce plans, organisation designs and execution of plans in line with intent. This includes ensuring achievement of commitments associated with: Queensland, Federal and Market workforce commitments, Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs) exits, committed future tranches from Suncorp Group, Enterprise Agreements, customer and technology migration milestones and synergy and growth goals. This role will play a critical role in aligning with the Queensland hub and broader Enterprise workforce strategies to ensure holistic execution of outcomes, in the spirit intended.
This role will lead and support a team of 6-10 SMEs and experts to deliver target outcomes, ensure plans are dynamic, adaptive, and relevant and aligned to broader ANZ Enterprise workforce commitments.
Role Type: 12mos Fixed-term Contract Role Location: Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane Work Hours: Full-time, 40hrs/week What will your day look like?Your key responsibilities will include: Lead development and execution of workforce strategies, organisation designs and plans which are commercial, consider short and long term goals and broader ANZ system considerations related to location, size, shape, capability, and capacity (includes leading interactions with senior business leaders to do so, in conjunction with T&C BP).Manage the team to plan and execute multiple streams of work including scoping the desired outcomes, choices, modelling development and workforce plans.Develop and uphold strong workforce principles which ensure fairness and respectful employee experience, whilst still meeting strategic and commercial goals and public and regulatory commitments.Provide strategic workforce guidance and assurance to the broader, Suncorp Bank Integration Program, People Stream and business areas as it relates to workforce matters.Liaise with Suncorp Group, Legal, Suncorp Bank, Queensland Hub, ANZ Business areas and where needed external parties in the formation and execution of strategies.Ensure delivery excellence with dynamic, "minimum viable product" mindset including constant alignment with broader, interdependent streams that are moving at pace.Advise and guide on strategic choices and trade-offs, where there are multiple/competing priorities at play, impacting workforce choices, with ability to influence positive whole-of-system outcomes in complex environments.Influence varied stakeholders – executive, external SMEs, business in the development and execution of workforce strategies that are robust, thoughtful, commercial but also honour our purpose and values.Lead and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring clarity on scope, deliverables and timeframes for team members.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Expertise in strategic workforce planning, organisation design/operating models and execution within complex, dynamic environments.Ability to forecast and think "long range" with a systems view, whilst translating strategies into executable plans.Commercial acumen, experience working closely with operations, finance and legal.Proven expertise in shaping workforce strategies, operating models, organisation design and execution in complex transformation environments/ecosystems.Expertise in all or most of subject areas in the stream – workforce strategy, planning, measurement, organisation design and execution.Ability to thrive and create clarity through complex ambiguity.Ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment and leading, motivating and developing team members.Demonstrated ability to partner with others (non-hierarchical) and swarm to solve challenges.Ability to translate data analysis into commercial information and recommendations.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
