Huon is on the lookout for a Work Health & Safety Advisor to provide safety and wellbeing support to our Parramatta Creek Processing Factory and northern Hatcheries.
The role Reporting to the Work Health & Safety Lead, the Work Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in contributing to Huon's Wellbeing and Safety performance.
You will:
Develop strong, collaborative relationships at all levels across Huon, coaching Huon leaders and teams to anticipate, identify, and evaluate conditions and practices.Drive a strong safety culture within Huon and give a dedicated presence onsite at all required locations.Maintain effective communications across the organisation and ensure stakeholders are kept engaged with our WHS practices.Provide expert guidance and support to ensure effective risk management and promote a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.Assist site leaders and teams facilitating safety assessments and review and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for stakeholder groups.Bring a proactive approach, contributing to the review and development of Huon's WHS procedures and processes.Primarily located at our Parramatta Creek Processing Factory, travel to our northern Hatcheries will be required.
About you We are looking for a passionate and pragmatic Work Health & Safety professional who is hands on and passionate about coaching others on best practice safety methodology.
You will:
Hold a tertiary WHS qualification and relevant experience in an operational WHS position.Proven experience managing safety concerns and undertake the appropriate actions to minimise risks promoting safety excellence.Be a strong communicator who builds robust and effective rapport with stakeholders that allows you to influence, coach, and partner with others.Think critically and evaluate probable outcomes to anticipate and proactively manage safety matters.Hold an unrestricted and current driver's licence and are willing to travel to sites.If this sounds like the right career move for you, we want to hear from you!
