The role is hands-on and will support site-level projects, provide expert advice, product stewardship, and training to our customers.A great candidate for a Wireless Blasting Technician could include:Engineers looking to specialise in blasting, technology, and automation;Underground Shotfirers or Charge-up Operators who are looking to advance their career in a technical and technology-focused direction;Underground Communications Technicians looking for a new challenge;Ex-military personnel looking to commence a new career in Underground mining and blasting.What you will be doingKey site delivery role in our WebGen blasting projects and trials on our Customer sites;Providing product stewardship support to our Customer stakeholders on site;Working within the Orica Technical Services Team to deliver high-quality blast results and value to our Customers' operation;Partnering and developing true longstanding relationships with our trusted Customers;Delivering appropriate safety initiatives which align with Orica's and our Customer values.What you will bringAn underground mining background is an advantage, but not mandatory;A current and up-to-date shotfiring license or degree qualification in engineering is an advantage, but not mandatory;A genuine enthusiasm to deliver an innovative technology to our customers;Strong communication skills and an ability to quickly pick up and master new systems and technologies;Process-driven and procedurally disciplined.What we offerAs part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
