Program OverviewThe Wellbeing, Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator is a critical role, continuously improving the organisation's approach to ensure a safe, healthy and thriving workplace.
The role is also responsible for identifying and evaluating hazards, along with the delivery of organisation-wide programs to manage WHS compliance, prevent and appropriately respond to injuries and illness.
The WHS Coordinator will play a hands-on role, providing advice, coaching and guidance to stakeholders, with a strong focus on wellbeing.
To Be Successful You Will Need Knowledge of WH&S legislation, Work Safe and Work Cover standards and processes.Experience in developing and implementing organizational wellbeing, health and safety programs and work plans.Skills in monitoring and analyzing WHS data to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, along with contributing to reporting.Expertise to provide high-level advice, coaching and guidance to senior management, staff and external stakeholders on WHS issues and decisions.Experience in developing and overseeing a calendar of WHS audits and events to ensure safety and compliance.Skills in the development of resources, including Toolbox Talks and other learning materials.Develop wellbeing initiatives that respond to organizational needs, along with supporting individuals with return to work and rehabilitation processes.Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies.Demonstrated leadership qualities with the capacity to motivate and effectively lead WHS projects.Tertiary qualifications combined with relevant industry experience or extensive industry experience.
