About the RoleMcConnell Dowell has an exciting opportunity for a talented Welding and Coating Inspector to join our project team on the Groote Eylandt Wharf Remediation Project in the Northern Territory. This role plays a crucial part in the successful delivery of a critical project for our client. This role is offered on a fly in fly out basis with competitive rates and allowances and will be based on Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory.
Responsibilities Include:Overseeing the quality and safety of the welding and coating activitiesInspecting and assessing the strength and quality of all completed weldsEnsuring the correct equipment and materials are being used for a weldChecking all welding specificationsChecking all coat specificationsEnsuring all safety regulations are being adhered toSuggesting alternative welding techniques if requiredAbout You:CSWIP, or equivalent, is requiredTrade or relevant Engineering degreeAdvanced understanding & knowledge of Welding and NDT activitiesExcellent technical knowledge of welding and materialsA strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environmentExcellent working knowledge of Australian and international standards and codesStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamExperience or willingness to work on a FIFO basisDon't tick all the boxes but you're still excited about this opportunity?
